Controversial talk show host takes break from ABC program

Joy Behar, the veteran talk show host widely recognized for her polarizing political commentary aimed at conservative politicians—including President Donald Trump—is stepping away from her chair on "The View" for a brief hiatus.

International Stage Tour

At 83, Behar is set to leave the ABC program for several weeks as she heads to Europe to support her stage production, "My First Ex-Husband." As USA Today reported, the play has a series of scheduled performances lined up, including stops in Paris and a residency on London’s famed West End.

Who is Filling the Seat?

205focus.com has confirmed that Behar’s absence begins this week, and while she is away, a rotating lineup of guest co-hosts will occupy her spot on the panel. The list of temporary fill-ins includes comedian Sheryl Underwood, podcast host Kara Swisher, and regular panelist Ana Navarro. Additionally, Whoopi Goldberg is expected to step in for the Friday broadcasts during the interim.

As of now, the show has not announced an exact date for Behar's return.
