McDonald’s launches new meals, 9 collectible cups that World Cup soccer fans will love

The world’s biggest soccer stage is finally set. As the World Cup officially kicks off today, McDonald’s and FIFA have teamed up to celebrate the tournament with a new lineup of nine collectible cups featuring legendary soccer stars.

This year's historic tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, spanning 16 cities across three nations, including 11 sites in the U.S., three in Mexico, and two in Canada. It marks the first time the event is hosted by three countries and features an expanded field of 48 teams, up from the previous 32.
According to a McDonald’s press release, fans can snag a collectible cup by ordering select meals. The featured soccer icons include Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the iconic Grimace.

The cup promotion applies to several fan-favorite menu items, including the sausage McMuffin with egg or sausage egg biscuit served with hash browns, as well as the Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets accompanied by fries.

The celebration extends to the youngest fans, with Happy Meals joining the festivities. These meals feature popular Squishmallows toys, including official mascots from the host countries and animal characters decked out in soccer jerseys.
