New Chick-fil-A coming to this Alabama city

Wetumpka is officially getting a new Chick-fil-A, bringing a much-anticipated addition to the city. The announcement, shared on the city’s official social media account, confirmed that the project is officially moving forward.

A Long-Awaited Arrival

Mayor Jerry Willis celebrated the news, calling it a milestone for the community. "For years, our residents have asked to see Chick-fil-A come to Wetumpka, and we’re proud to see that vision becoming a reality," Willis stated. He further credited the city's economic development officer, Lynn Weldon, and her team for their diligent efforts in bringing the project to fruition.

Site Details and Timeline

According to reports from WSFA, the restaurant is set to be situated in the Shoppes of Fort Toulouse, located at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Fort Toulouse Road. While the development is confirmed, a specific construction timeline has not yet been released.

Chick-fil-A’s Alabama Footprint

With this new location, the chain continues to expand its reach across the state, where it currently operates 98 restaurants. Recent growth for the brand in Alabama includes a new location in Hueytown, which opened on May 21 in the Birmingham metro area. Additionally, officials in Gadsden confirmed plans earlier this year for a second location in that city along Alabama 77 near Interstate 59.
