New Chick-fil-A coming to this Alabama city
Chick-fil-A has 98 locations in Alabama.
Wetumpka is officially getting its own Chick-fil-A. Mayor Jerry Willis confirmed the expansion on the city’s official social media channels, marking a milestone that local leaders describe as a “long time coming.”
A Community Goal Realized
The demand for the popular restaurant chain has been high among local residents for years. “For years, our residents have asked to see Chick-fil-A come to Wetumpka, and we’re proud to see that vision becoming a reality,” Willis said in his announcement.
The mayor credited the progress to the persistence of the local administration, specifically highlighting the efforts of economic development officer Lynn Weldon and her team. While the city celebrates the news, officials noted that a specific construction timeline has not yet been released.
Site Details and Expansion
According to reports from WSFA, the new location is slated for the Shoppes of Fort Toulouse, situated at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Fort Toulouse Road.
This addition joins an extensive network of 98 existing Chick-fil-A locations throughout Alabama. The brand has been on a growth streak across the state recently, including the opening of a new Birmingham metro restaurant in Hueytown on May 21. Back in January, the Gadsden City Council also greenlit a deal for a new location on Alabama 77 off Interstate 59 at Airport Road.
