Popular fast food chain adds beloved Alabama food to its menu, here’s how you can try it for $1

A true Alabama culinary staple is coming to the menu of a fast-food icon that also calls the Yellowhammer State home. Jack’s Family Restaurants is set to serve up hickory-smoked Conecuh sausage dogs, and the company is giving Gulf Coast diners an exclusive jump-start on the new addition.
New Menu Addition
Beginning Wednesday, May 20, the new sausage dogs will be rolling out to most locations. Jack’s is also promoting a meal deal for those looking for the full experience, which includes two of the Conecuh dogs, a side of fries, and a pie.
Score a Dog for $1
If you find yourself near the Gulf Coast on Tuesday, May 19, you can snag one of these new items for just $1. According to WKRG, the special promotion runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at select restaurants.
The participating locations for the one-day preview deal include: Atmore, Thomasville, Jackson, Citronelle, Loxley, East Brewton, Creola, Leakesville, and Milton.
