25-year-old man missing after going into water at Lake Guntersville

A massive search operation is currently underway in north Alabama following a tragic incident on Lake Guntersville this past weekend. Officials are working around the clock to locate a 25-year-old man who disappeared beneath the water.
Details of the Incident
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the incident occurred at approximately 1:23 p.m. on Sunday. The emergency was classified as a single-vessel marine-related event, centered in the Honeycomb Creek area near Goat Island on Lake Guntersville.
ALEA Capt. Jeremy Burkett identified the missing individual as Jeremiah Gamble of Tallassee. Gamble had been a passenger on a 24-foot 2023 Bentley Legacy pontoon boat. Witnesses report that Gamble entered the water and unfortunately failed to resurface.
