Auburn added a second cornerback to its 2027 recruiting class on Tuesday
The official visit season is paying major dividends for Auburn football, with the Tigers continuing their momentum on the recruiting trail.
On Tuesday, Auburn secured its fourth commitment since the start of summer official visits. The newest pledge to the 2027 class is three-star cornerback Aidyn Wiggins, who made his way to the Plains for an official visit on May 29.
Wiggins shared his decision to join the program via a post on social media.
Strengthening the Secondary
With this announcement, Wiggins marks the 13th commitment for Auburn’s 2027 class. He is the second cornerback to join the fold, pairing with three-star corner Nash Johnson, who gave his verbal commitment to the Tigers on May 31.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, the three-star prospect is rated as the No. 853 overall player nationally and the 79th-best cornerback in the country.
A High-Level Athlete
During his junior season at Byrnes High School in Duncan, South Carolina, Wiggins demonstrated his impact in the secondary by recording 25 tackles, five pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. In addition to his football prowess, Wiggins is a standout track athlete, having clocked a 10.65 in the 100 meters per 247Sports.
