3-star linebacker commits to Auburn following Big Cat Weekend
Auburn added to its 2027 class immediately after Big Cat Weekend
The inaugural Big Cat Weekend hosted by head coach Alex Golesh is already paying dividends on the recruiting trail.
New Addition to the 2027 Class
Three-star linebacker Kareem Palmer announced his commitment to Auburn on Sunday, serving as the first recruit to pledge his future to the program following the high-profile event. Palmer, one of 30 prospects who spent Saturday on the Plains, marks a key addition to the Tigers’ growing 2027 recruiting class.
Scouting the Prospect
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Palmer is recognized as the No. 505 overall recruit nationally and the 39th-ranked linebacker in his class. Hailing from Lyons, Georgia, he is also tabbed as the No. 61 overall player in the state of Georgia.
Palmer arrives with a productive resume from Toombs County High School. During his junior campaign, he recorded 79 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and forced two fumbles, as tracked by MaxPreps.
Building Momentum
With Palmer officially on board, Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class now holds seven total commitments. He serves as the first linebacker to join the Tigers' efforts for the cycle, becoming only the second defensive prospect in the class alongside in-state defensive lineman Donivan Moore.
