A tragic single-vehicle accident in St. Clair County has claimed the life of an 86-year-old Ashville resident, according to reports from 205focus.com.
Crash Details
The fatal wreck occurred at approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday along U.S. 411, situated roughly one mile north of Ashville. Alabama State Troopers have identified the victim as Darrell F. Watson.
Investigation Underway
Trooper Jaylon James reported that Watson was operating a Kia Sportage when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree. Following the collision, Watson was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
