A major player in the national healthcare scene has announced a significant leadership transition. American Family Care, the Birmingham-based giant that stands as America’s leading provider of urgent care, has officially tapped Rhett Lankford to serve as its new president.
A Powerhouse in Urgent Care
American Family Care continues to dominate the industry, operating a network of more than 400 walk-in clinics across the United States. The organization is a massive healthcare engine, treating over 4 million patients annually and generating more than $1 billion in system-wide sales each year.
Bringing Decades of Leadership
Lankford arrives at the Birmingham headquarters with more than two decades of professional experience. His resume includes high-level leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and NAPA Managed Services, providing him with a strong foundation to guide the company's future growth.
Building the Next Generation
Lankford will work closely with CEO Jeremy Morgan, who believes the new president is the right choice to elevate the company's support infrastructure. "Rhett will help us develop the tools, systems and capabilities our franchise owners need to grow patient volume, operate more efficiently, and deliver an even better care experience in their local communities," Morgan said. He added that Lankford’s expertise will be key in building the next generation of services for the franchise network.
