Birmingham-based urgent care giant names new president
The company is the nation’s leading urgent care provider with more than 400 walk-in clinics across the U.S.
A major player in the healthcare sector has officially named a new leader. Birmingham-based American Family Care, the nation’s premier urgent care provider, announced this week that Rhett Lankford has stepped into the role of president.
Scaling for the Future
American Family Care operates a massive network of more than 400 walk-in clinics across the United States. With over $1 billion in annual system-wide sales, the company serves more than 4 million patients every year.
Lankford brings a wealth of experience to the table, boasting over two decades of professional leadership. His resume includes significant roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and NAPA Managed Services, a background that will be vital in his new position.
Strategic Leadership
Reporting directly to CEO Jeremy Morgan, Lankford is tasked with evolving the support services provided to the company's franchise network. Morgan noted that Lankford’s expertise is essential to building the next generation of resources for franchise owners.
"Rhett will help us develop the tools, systems and capabilities our franchise owners need to grow patient volume, operate more efficiently, and deliver an even better care experience in their local communities," Morgan said.
Lankford emphasized his enthusiasm for joining the team, noting that the company is uniquely positioned to handle the ongoing shift in the healthcare industry toward more convenient, proactive models of care. "I am excited to help expand the capabilities that support our franchise owners, strengthen local clinic operations and help more patients get the care they need in their own communities," Lankford added.
