Birmingham brewery closing tasting gallery after 12 years: ‘Come raise a glass’

A staple of the Magic City craft beer scene is moving on. TrimTab Brewing Co. announced it will officially close its tasting gallery on Fifth Avenue South, marking the end of an era that began during the height of Birmingham’s brewery boom 12 years ago.

Raising a Final Glass

The brewery confirmed via social media that its doors will remain open through July 4, inviting patrons to soak in the atmosphere one last time. Whether it is catching a final show at the B Side, picking up some favorite cans to-go, joining Monday night trivia, or simply relaxing on the patio, the team at TrimTab expressed deep gratitude for the support shown by the Birmingham community over the last decade.

Looking Ahead

While the physical tasting gallery is set to close, the brand isn't disappearing entirely. TrimTab noted that its popular offerings, including TrimTab IPA and Paradise Now, will remain available in select markets. Management indicated that further updates regarding the future of the brand will be shared as they become available.

A Legacy of Innovation

TrimTab originally launched its tasting room in the Lakeview neighborhood in early 2014 before expanding its reach with the launch of canned beer in 2015. The closure follows a broader trend for Alabama’s craft breweries, as many establishments across the state face contraction due to evolving national drinking cultures and shifting economic pressures.
