Blue Bell celebrating America’s 250th birthday with return of patriotic ice cream flavor

Blue Bell is marking America’s 250th birthday with a splash of nostalgia, bringing back a fan-favorite flavor that has been absent from the freezer aisle for nearly a decade.

A Patriotic Return

Red, White & Blue Bell Ice Cream makes its grand return to stores today. The festive treat features a blend of vanilla and blueberry-flavored ice cream, swirled with real strawberries and blueberries. First launched in 2014, the flavor has not been on shelves since 2017.

The ice cream is currently available in half-gallon containers, though fans should act fast as it is back for a limited time only.

"This season is filled with barbecues, Fourth of July parties, and sunny days by the pool. Red, White & Blue Bell Ice Cream is a delicious treat for all those fun occasions," said Carl Breed, Blue Bell vice president of sales and marketing.

Expanding the Blue Bell Lineup

The return of this classic flavor joins a busy 2026 for the creamery, which maintains a factory in Sylacauga. Earlier this year, Blue Bell introduced Honey Vanilla and the return of Java Jolt, followed by the debut of a protein-packed pint line.

Other recent additions include the Brookie À La Mode released in March, and last month’s introduction of Black Raspberry Fudge. Keep following 205focus.com for more updates on the latest seasonal drops.
