Country music star responds to allegations he used AI for latest song

Luke Bryan is firing back at critics after recent speculation suggested his latest track, Fish Hunt Golf Drink, was produced using artificial intelligence. The country superstar, who released the song last month, addressed the backlash while competing in a golf pro-am.

Clearing the Air

Speaking to NBC4, Bryan didn't mince words regarding the rumors. "We’ve had some negativity out there. Some trolls kinda saying that I ‘AI’ed it, which is completely false," Bryan said. "That song was designed for one thing. To have fun and tell the world what I love to do and what I strive to do."

The track's writers, Chase McGill and Matt Dragstrem, echoed those sentiments while speaking with Rolling Stone. "It’s not rocket science, but it’s true to who Luke is," they noted, confirming that no AI tools were involved in the creation of the song.

Looking Ahead to Crash My Playa

Beyond the studio, Bryan is keeping his eyes on the stage. He recently unveiled the star-studded lineup for the 12th annual Crash My Playa, scheduled for Jan. 13-16, 2027, at Moon Palace Cancún in Mexico. Produced by 100x Hospitality, the four-day event will feature headliners Thomas Rhett and HARDY.

The jam-packed roster also features performances by Brothers Osborne, Gavin Adcock, Brett Young, Avery Anna, Drew Baldridge, Emily Ann Roberts, Lanie Gardner, and DJ Rock. Fans can also look forward to perennial favorites, including Dustin Lynch’s Pool Party and a closing-night set featuring Luke Bryan and Friends.
