MAX Transit announces free bus service for Tuesday’s primary

As residents across Birmingham and Jefferson County prepare for Alabama’s primary election, the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority is offering a helping hand to remove potential travel hurdles.
Free Rides for Election Day
MAX Transit has officially announced that bus service will be complimentary on Tuesday, May 19. The free fare applies to three specific service lines: the Magic City Connector, the Birmingham Xpress, and all MAX Fixed Route buses.
"We know that reliable transportation plays an important role in civic participation," MAX Transit Director of Marketing and Communications Amanda Hare said in a press release. "By offering complimentary rides on Election Day once again, we are helping ensure that residents across our community have accessible transportation options as they head to the polls to make their voices heard."
