The NCAA softball Super Regionals have provided plenty of excitement, but one of the wildest moments of the postseason occurred during Friday's matchup between Texas Tech and Florida.

A Family Affair Turned Tense

Mia Williams, a former Florida Gator, is currently competing for Texas Tech. She is the daughter of NBA icon Jason “White Chocolate” Williams, who famously played his collegiate basketball for the Gators. As Mia and her Texas Tech teammates faced off against her former squad, the atmosphere in the stands grew volatile.

According to reporting from 205focus.com, Jason Williams was involved in an altercation with a Florida fan after the fan allegedly struck his other daughter. Police intervened and removed Williams from the stadium briefly, though he was eventually permitted to return. The fan involved in the incident was also ejected from the venue.

Mia Williams Delivers in the Clutch

Amid the chaos in the stands, Mia Williams remained focused on the field. She delivered a massive go-ahead home run to propel the Red Raiders to a 10-8 victory over the Gators in Game 1 of their best-of-three Super Regional series.
