New Birmingham metro brunch spot announces opening date

Alabaster's culinary scene is growing, with a popular breakfast, lunch, and brunch chain officially set to debut in the city's newest retail hub next week.

A New Morning Destination

First Watch is slated to open its doors this Monday at 725 1st St. S., serving as a marquee addition to the Shoppes of District 31 development. The spacious 4,400-square-foot location is designed to accommodate over 170 guests and features both a bar and a covered patio area.

As one of the initial businesses to launch in the massive $242 million Shoppes of District 31 project, First Watch will be joined by a variety of other popular tenants, including Chipotle, Panera Bread, Cava, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Hollywood Feed, and Aspen Dental.

Menu Highlights and Opening Perks

The chain, which operates 640 locations across 32 states, is bringing its signature menu to Alabaster. Diners can expect favorites like Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Farmhouse Hash, and Million Dollar Bacon, alongside a selection of fresh salads and sandwiches. While the restaurant maintains a rotating seasonal menu, the Alabaster location is scheduled to introduce its first seasonal offerings this fall.

To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant is offering unlimited Project Sunrise coffee to customers who dine in from Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19.

Operational Details

First Watch will maintain daily hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with dine-in, pickup, and delivery services available. The new restaurant is expected to bring approximately 30 jobs to the area, operating on a single-shift schedule. 205focus.com encourages interested job seekers to apply directly via the company website.
