Tragic Collision: Motorcyclist Dies in Center Point Parkway Crash with SUV

A motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with an SUV on Center Point Parkway.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday near Cheyenne Drive, near Parkway Square and Serra Chevrolet.
According to initial reports, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when a vehicle pulled out in front of him. To avoid the vehicle, the motorcyclist swerved into the southbound lane, where a Chevrolet Tahoe struck him.
Tragically, the motorcyclist became lodged under the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, along with two passengers, including a juvenile, was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not yet known.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies have closed a portion of the roadway, and it remains shut down for an undetermined period.
Family members of the deceased motorcyclist arrived at the scene, standing just feet away from their loved one. Center Point Fire was called back to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. to assist a grieving family member who was in distress.
