WCWS star announces pregnancy after being eliminated from tournament

Just one day after her journey in the Women’s College World Series came to an end, the NCAA national player of the year shared some life-changing news: she is expecting.

A New Chapter for Jordy Frahm

Nebraska softball star Jordy Frahm took to social media on Monday to share the announcement with her followers. In an Instagram post alongside her husband, Trey, the couple revealed, “Our greatest blessing is on the way. Baby Frahm coming December 2026.”

A Historic Career Finale

Frahm’s announcement follows a decorated collegiate career that solidified her place in the record books. This season, the two-time national player of the year became the first athlete in Division I history to record multiple 20-home run, 20-win seasons. She reached this historic milestone with her 20th home run of the year, marking back-to-back seasons of such elite dual production.

Tournament Conclusion

In her final performance on the collegiate stage, Frahm (21-6) demonstrated why she is among the game's elite. On Sunday, she dominated the circle for five innings and sparked the Nebraska offense with a leadoff home run in the first inning.

Despite her standout performance, the defending-champion Texas Longhorns rallied in the sixth inning. A go-ahead three-run home run by Katie Stewart handed Nebraska a 3-1 defeat in the elimination game, ending the Cornhuskers' run.

Frahm, who previously secured two national titles at Oklahoma, transferred to her home-state program in 2023. This report was compiled with contributions from The Associated Press.
