A grim discovery has been made in Cullman County, where authorities searching for suspects in a recent arson case found 42-year-old Kristin Slayton deceased.
Ongoing Investigation into Murder Conspiracy Suspects

Both individuals had been released on bond, a privilege that was revoked after they were linked to an alleged arson at Robertson’s Hemlock Drive residence in Huntsville this past Tuesday.
Arson Leads Authorities to Cullman County
Following the Huntsville fire, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office alerted Cullman County authorities that the pair—who were also facing drug charges—might be in the area. Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry noted that Robertson owned property near County Road 765, the same site where a barn fire was reported on Tuesday.
While deputies and investigators conducted a search of the property on Wednesday, they located Slayton. Authorities have yet to disclose the cause of her death. According to the original report from 205focus.com, Christopher Robertson remains at large, and a statewide lookout has been issued for his capture.
Law Enforcement Response
Sheriff Gentry emphasized that his department will maintain a heightened patrol presence, using both marked and unmarked vehicles, near County Road 765 to ensure community safety. Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner praised the inter-agency collaboration, stating, “Investigations often require extensive coordination between agencies, and that’s exactly what has taken place in this case.”
Anyone possessing information regarding Robertson's whereabouts is urged to contact the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office at 256-734-0343.
