3 new restaurants open at Huntsville International Airport
All three offer breakfast, lunch and supper options for travelers.
Travelers passing through Huntsville International Airport have more reasons to arrive early for their flights. Airport officials recently announced the opening of three fresh dining concepts, significantly boosting the terminal's culinary variety.
A New Flavor Profile at HSV
The latest additions to the airport's lineup include Rocket City Bar & Grill, Rocket City Express, and Everbowl. These join other recent arrivals like Interstellar Pizza and Starbucks, which debuted last August, alongside Comet Coffee, which opened its doors in February.
Rocket City Bar & Grill offers a full-service experience tailored to the region's innovative spirit. Diners can enjoy signature cocktails, a curated wine list, and a variety of draft and bottled beers. The menu celebrates Southern staples, featuring smash burgers, barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, and Conecuh sausage.
For those on the move, Rocket City Express delivers convenient grab-and-go wraps and sandwiches. Meanwhile, health-conscious passengers can visit Everbowl—a San Diego-based franchise and the first of its kind to land in a U.S. airport—to grab smoothies and nutritious açaí bowls.
Designed for the Modern Traveler
Whether you need a quick bite or a sit-down meal, these spots serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, remaining open from the day's first flight through the final departure. Located between Gates 3 and 5, the new dining area is designed for comfort, featuring airfield views, high-top seating, and convenient charging ports at every station.
"For many visitors, our terminal is their first introduction to Huntsville," said Joey Ceci, Board Chair for The Port of Huntsville. "As one of the fastest growing and most innovative communities in the nation, it is important that our airport reflects the energy, progress, and hospitality that define our region."
Continued Terminal Modernization
These restaurant openings are a key part of HSV’s ongoing mission to upgrade the passenger experience. According to airport CEO Butch Roberts, the goal is to transform the terminal into a destination in its own right. With future plans already in motion—including new concourse gate seating and renovated restrooms between Gates 7 and 9—the airport continues to evolve alongside the city it serves.
