3 new restaurants open at Huntsville International Airport
All three offer breakfast, lunch and supper options for travelers.
Travelers passing through Huntsville International Airport have more reasons to arrive early for their flights. Airport officials recently announced the opening of three fresh dining concepts, adding new flavor and convenience to the terminal experience.
A New Flavor Profile at HSV
The expansion features the debut of Rocket City Bar & Grill, Rocket City Express, and Everbowl. These additions bolster the airport's existing lineup, which previously welcomed Interstellar Pizza and Starbucks last August, along with the opening of Comet Coffee in February.
Rocket City Bar & Grill brings a full-service experience to the terminal, highlighting North Alabama's innovative culture. The menu is packed with regional favorites, including smash burgers, barbecue pulled pork, and iconic Conecuh sausage. Guests can pair their meals with a selection of wine, local draft beers, or signature cocktails.
For those on the move, Rocket City Express offers a quick grab-and-go solution for sandwiches and wraps. Meanwhile, Everbowl—a San Diego-based franchise—brings a healthier twist to the terminal. Notably, this marks the first time an Everbowl has opened at a U.S. airport, offering travelers nutritious smoothies and açaí bowls.
Comfort and Convenience
Located between Gates 3 and 5, the new dining area is designed with the modern traveler in mind. The space features high-top and cubby-style seating with airfield views, and every seat is equipped with charging ports to keep devices powered during the wait.
Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or supper, all three restaurants are operational from the first morning flight through the final scheduled departure of the day. Travelers can choose to dine in or carry their meals directly to the gate.
Continuing the Transformation
This project is part of a broader push by airport leadership to modernize the facility and elevate the passenger experience. Joey Ceci, Board Chair for The Port of Huntsville, emphasized that the terminal serves as a critical first impression for visitors. “As one of the fastest growing and most innovative communities in the nation, it is important that our airport reflects the energy, progress, and hospitality that define our region,” Ceci said.
Looking ahead, the airport plans to continue its momentum with additional upgrades, including refreshed gate seating and upcoming renovations to the restrooms located between Gates 7 and 9. Huntsville International Airport CEO Butch Roberts encourages passengers to take full advantage of these new amenities, suggesting they build in extra time to explore the fresh dining options.
