Check out the first look at Alabama rookies in their NFL uniforms
Three prospects who played for the Crimson Tide attended this year’s Rookie Premiere.
The future of the NFL has arrived in Los Angeles, as 42 of the league's most marketable rookies gathered this past weekend for the 32nd annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere. Among the group, selected from the 257 players drafted between April 23-25, were three standout talents with ties to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
New Looks for Alabama Stars
A major highlight of the Rookie Premiere is the chance for fans to see the latest draft class in their professional colors for the very first time. Wide receiver Germie Bernard, quarterback Ty Simpson, and safety Caleb Downs represented Alabama in Los Angeles, participating in high-profile photoshoots for upcoming trading cards.
Caleb Downs, who suited up for Alabama in 2023 before heading to Ohio State for two seasons, was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 11th overall pick on April 23. He was one of only four defensive players invited to this year's event.
Meanwhile, the signal-caller Ty Simpson, who was taken by the Los Angeles Rams at No. 13 on April 23, and wide receiver Germie Bernard, chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 47 on April 24, both took their first official steps into their pro careers.
Professional Development
Hosted by the NFL Players Association and NFL Players Inc., the three-day event serves as a critical bridge between the collegiate and professional ranks. From Thursday through Saturday, the invitees engaged with various media partners, licensees, and major brands including EA Sports, Fanatics, Microsoft, and TikTok.
Beyond the photo sessions, the rookies participated in autograph signings, jersey unveilings, and specialized business orientation. This programming focused on essential skills for life in the NFL, covering group licensing, personal brand development, and long-term financial strategies.
