Four-star offensive lineman recaps ‘awesome’ official visit to Auburn

Auburn is making significant strides in building its 2027 offensive line class, and the Tigers certainly left a lasting impression on a key target this past weekend.

A Standout Visit on the Plains

Four-star interior offensive lineman Reed Ramsier made the trip to the Plains for an official visit, leaving campus with plenty of enthusiasm regarding the program. According to 205focus.com, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

"It was awesome. It was great to be back at Auburn," Ramsier shared. The visit was heavy on football immersion, with the recruit spending quality time in the film room with offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick, discussing both personal and player development.

Ramsier particularly valued the coaching style displayed by Hudanick. "There were like five or six things he was critiquing me on, which I love," Ramsier explained. "He wasn’t criticizing me. He was just trying to push me and get me better... I could definitely see myself playing here and being coached by him and the support staff around him."

Building Connections

The visit also provided an opportunity for Ramsier to bond with the current roster, specifically his player host, South Florida transfer Cole Skinner. Ramsier noted that the one-on-one time with Skinner offered a genuine look at what life is like for an offensive lineman in the Auburn program.

The Recruiting Outlook

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, the Orlando, Florida native is currently being recruited by Auburn to play either guard or center. Recognized as a four-star prospect, Ramsier is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 228 overall player in the country and the 12th-best interior offensive lineman.

With his recruitment narrowing down to a battle between Auburn and Texas, the Tigers appear to have taken the lead following this weekend’s experience. Ramsier has an official visit to Texas on deck for next weekend, after which he plans to announce his college choice.

"I think it’s going to come down to development and where I feel like is home for me," Ramsier said. "Home being a place I feel most comfortable and a place where I can see myself growing into a man and also a better football player and get my degree."
