Douglas Shepp McCain, the eldest son of the late Senator John McCain, has passed away at the age of 66. According to his official obituary, he died suddenly on May 20.

Douglas followed a path of dedicated service, notably serving in the Navy for six years where he flew A-6 Intruders. His career in aviation continued long after his military service, leading him to work as a pilot for American Airlines. His father, the legendary military hero and longtime U.S. Senator, passed away in 2018 following a battle with aggressive brain cancer.
