Shelby 911 dispatchers received an emergency call regarding a potential gunshot wound near Cherokee Drive. The initial victim had reportedly fled to a nearby residence to seek assistance. Deputies arrived on the scene within minutes to coordinate with medical personnel.

The first victim managed to provide a short statement to law enforcement before being transported by ambulance to UAB Hospital. Based on that conversation, deputies quickly located a second victim at a different home, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper shoulder.
