Trump’s Great American State Fair performers drop out as lineup reveals country music, rock legends

As anticipation builds for Donald Trump’s “Great American State Fair,” a massive, World Fair-style event celebrating America’s 250th birthday, the festival's musical lineup is facing turbulence. While the event is set to feature a variety of country stars and rock legends, several acts have publicly withdrawn from the festivities.

The celebration, which spans from June 25 through July, is scheduled to take place on the National Lawn in Washington, D.C. According to the event organizers, the fair aims to showcase American innovation, patriotic tributes, and cultural programming. Plans call for legendary artists to take the stage every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

However, the roster has seen notable departures. Rapper Young MC recently announced his exit from the government-sponsored event. In a statement posted to social media, Young MC noted he was unaware of any political ties when booked, stating, “I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged.” His departure follows a similar move by funk and R&B group Morris Day and The Time, who confirmed they would not participate, per Variety.
