The roadmap to the Nov. 3 general election in Alabama is now clear following a decisive night of primary runoff results. While the marquee gubernatorial matchup between Republican Tommy Tuberville and Democrat Doug Jones was secured back in May—despite some late-stage drama surrounding Tuberville’s residency—Tuesday’s runoffs finalized the remaining spots on the ballot.

Statewide Race Results

Congressman Barry Moore secured the GOP nomination for U.S. Senator after besting challenger Jared Hudson. On the Democratic side, Everett Wess earned his ticket to November after defeating Dakarai Larriett.

In the race for Lieutenant Governor, Republican John Wahl topped Wes Allen. Wahl will now turn his attention to a general election contest against Democrat Phillip Ensler.

The Attorney General’s race saw Katherine Robertson emerge victorious over Jay Mitchell in a hard-fought Republican runoff. Robertson is set to square off against Democrat Jeffrey McLaughlin.

Down-ballot, Andrew Sneed captured the Democratic nomination, defeating Candice Dollar Duvieilh to set up a clash with Republican Congressman Dale Strong.
