A 25-year-old Montgomery man has passed away nearly two months after suffering critical gunshot wounds. According to officials, Ladarius Wiley died on Sunday, June 7, following an extended period of medical treatment.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have officially upgraded the case to a homicide investigation. Montgomery police initially responded to the scene at approximately 7:45 p.m. on April 11 after receiving reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Rosa L Park Avenue.

Responding officers discovered Wiley at the scene, and he was immediately transported to a local hospital. He remained under medical care for the duration of his stay until he succumbed to his injuries.
