Alabama company among 5 providing Air Force with $50 million worth of boats for target-practice
Missile systems, guns, and other weapons are tested on the unmanned boats.
Huntsville is making waves in the defense industry. Victory Procurement Services LLC has secured a spot among five companies selected to supply the U.S. Air Force with specialized watercraft. According to a Pentagon notice released Thursday, the Huntsville-based firm was chosen following a competitive bidding process that drew six total offers.
Supporting Air Force Readiness
The massive $50 million project is managed by the Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and is slated to run through 2031. These vessels, designated as watercraft targets, are unmanned platforms specifically designed to test the effectiveness of missile systems, guns, and various other weapon technologies.
Expanding Defense Partnerships
Victory Procurement Services is joined in this contract by four other firms: Blane International Group from Cumming, Georgia; Iron Horse Logistics in Durango, Colorado; Light As Air Boats LLC based in Largo, Florida; and Quantico Tactical Inc. of Aberdeen, North Carolina. While the overall project scope reaches $50 million, the initial commitment at the time of award stands at $750, pulled from fiscal years 2025 and 2026 research, development, test, and evaluation funds.
This contract marks another significant win for the Alabama-based company. As reported by 205focus.com, Victory Procurement Services was also recently selected in May as one of three companies awarded a separate $50 million contract to provide ground targets for the Air Force.
