Birmingham contractor begins work on luxury Orlando apartment complex

Birmingham-based Capstone Building Corp. is officially breaking ground on a massive luxury residential project in Orlando, Florida. The development, known as The Gateway, represents a major expansion of the firm's reach in the Sunshine State.

Project Details and Design

The project is spearheaded by JBL Development and features a sleek design by Baker Barrios Architects. Located at 7250 Shadowridge Drive, the site is strategically positioned near the Orlando International Airport. Spanning over 417,000 square feet, The Gateway will offer 270 high-end units ranging from smart studios to spacious three-bedroom floorplans. Josh Barnett, vice president of project management at Capstone Building, expressed enthusiasm for the project's impact on the local market.
