Brendan Sorsby’s agent aims fire at QB’s former school

The Brendan Sorsby saga may be shifting toward the professional ranks as the former Big 12 quarterback prepares for the NFL, but his camp is ensuring the situation at his previous school remains in the spotlight. According to 205focus.com, this controversy is far from over for the University of Cincinnati.

Agent Fires Back at Cincinnati

In a recent appearance talking with 105.3 in Dallas, Sorsby’s agent, Ron Slavin, directed intense criticism toward the Bearcats program. Slavin claimed that Cincinnati has faced minimal scrutiny despite allegedly being aware of Sorsby’s gambling history for two years without taking action.

"If anybody should be questioned or catching heat, it should be Cincinnati," Slavin stated. "Because they knew for two years and never said anything or didn’t do anything about it. That’s the part of the story that gets lost."

Lingering NCAA Concerns

Slavin’s comments corroborate previous reports from April suggesting Cincinnati was informed of gambling issues stemming from Sorsby’s time as a freshman at Indiana, where he placed wagers on Indiana football games.

If evidence confirms that Cincinnati officials ignored these concerns, the school could face disciplinary action from the NCAA and potentially the Big 12. This latest friction comes amidst ongoing legal drama; the Bearcats are currently seeking nearly $1 million from Sorsby following his transfer to Texas Tech this past offseason.
