Man killed in industrial accident at Tuscaloosa County lumber mill

A tragic industrial accident in Tuscaloosa County has left one man dead. According to 205focus.com, local authorities were called to the scene on Wednesday evening.
Investigation Underway
Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the W.G. Sullivan Lumber Co., located in the 16000 block of Highway 43 N., at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Capt. Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit reported that the employee suffered severe injuries involving industrial machinery. Despite the rapid response, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Official Response
The circumstances surrounding the fatal incident are currently under investigation by the TCVU and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences Medical Examiner’s Office. Capt. Kennedy confirmed that authorities do not suspect foul play, and as a result, the victim’s name will not be released to the public.
