Investigation into the Pennsylvania Slaying
Michael Anthony Boccia, 36, was the primary suspect in the Monday morning killing of 37-year-old Keshia M. Gonzalez in York, Pennsylvania. According to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Boccia contacted the Manheim Borough Police Department around 11 p.m. Monday, threatening to take his own life.
The tragic incident began earlier that morning at an apartment on North Main Street in Manheim Borough. Police were dispatched to the home shortly after 7:30 a.m. following reports of multiple gunshots and a woman screaming for help. Responding officers found Gonzalez on the floor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; she was already beyond medical assistance.
Evidence suggests a witness attempted to enter the apartment to provide aid but was confronted by Boccia, who pointed a handgun at them. The witness retreated before hearing three gunshots. Surveillance footage later confirmed a maroon sedan, registered to Boccia, arrived at the scene around 7:20 a.m., and audio captured the sound of the shooting just ten minutes later.
