Mazda Toyota donates $150,000 to 24 Huntsville area nonprofits
Nonprofits made pitches for funding on MTM Pitch Day.
Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) is doubling down on its commitment to North Alabama, announcing $150,000 in fresh grant funding for 24 local nonprofit organizations. The latest investment covers groups across Madison, Morgan, and Limestone counties, marking the manufacturer's eighth round of giving since 2022.
From Pitch to Partnership
The selection process was competitive, narrowing down nearly 90 initial applicants to a group of finalists. These organizations were invited to MTM Pitch Day, where they each had five minutes to showcase their missions and programs directly to a committee of Mazda Toyota team members. The committee then determined the final funding amounts for each beneficiary.
Community Impact
“MTM is grateful to be able to give back in a way that offers our community not only support, but new opportunities,” said Mark Brazael, MTM Vice President of Administration. “At MTM, we strive to always improve and impact not only our own team, but the community around us, creating a better Alabama.”
External Affairs Specialist Jessica Luther echoed that sentiment, noting that the company is proud to back organizations that make North Alabama a better place for their team members to live and work.
