Mazda Toyota donates $150,000 to 24 Huntsville area nonprofits
Nonprofits made pitches for funding on MTM Pitch Day.
Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) is doubling down on its commitment to North Alabama, announcing $150,000 in fresh grant funding to support 24 nonprofit organizations across Limestone, Morgan, and Madison counties.
A Competitive Path to Funding
This initiative marks the eighth round of grant funding for the manufacturer since 2022. The selection process was highly competitive, narrowing down an initial pool of nearly 90 applicants. Finalists were invited to participate in MTM Pitch Day, where they each had five minutes to present their unique missions and programs to a dedicated committee of MTM team members, who then determined the final funding amounts.
Investing in the Community
Mark Brazael, Vice President of Administration at MTM, emphasized the company's long-term vision for the region. "MTM is grateful to be able to give back in a way that offers our community not only support, but new opportunities," Brazael said. "At MTM, we strive to always improve and impact not only our own team, but the community around us, creating a better Alabama."
External Affairs Specialist Jessica Luther echoed those sentiments, noting, "Every one of these organizations is doing impactful work in our North Alabama community. We are so grateful to them for making our community a better place for our team members to live and work."
