The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) coaches have spoken, solidifying the elite ranks of Alabama women’s soccer. Following a standout season, fourth-ranked James Clemens and Class 7A state champion Auburn dominated the voting, landing a combined seven players on the prestigious Super All-State first team.
James Clemens (16-4-1) saw four seniors earn first-team honors: forward Olivia Lawrence, midfielders Amelia Mitchell and Haddie Patterson, and defender Claire Ward. Auburn (17-3-2), fresh off a state title run, placed senior forward Camilla Bosman, junior defender Lindsay Anniuk, and sophomore goalkeeper Kara Holden on the roster. Additionally, Class 7A runner-up Oak Mountain made a strong showing with two first-team selections and three second-team honorees.
Coaching Excellence
The coaching staff at Auburn received top honors as Bill Ferguson was named Large School Coach of the Year for classes 6A and 7A. In the Small School division, Orange Beach’s Chris Leonardi secured the Coach of the Year title, while Indian Springs’ Justin Pino earned the honor for the Private/Parochial category following his team's state championship season.
