New Five Points South restaurant to open July 31

Five Points South is getting a fresh culinary addition just in time for the end of the month. Karma’s Kitchen, a new 24-hour diner, is officially scheduled to celebrate its grand opening on July 31.

A New Hub for 24-Hour Dining

Located at 1210 20th St. South, the diner sits between Ocean Restaurant and Dobber’s Five Points Pub. The space is a familiar one to locals, as it moves into the former home of the 5 Point Public House & Oyster Bar.

The project is spearheaded by Dan Williams, the owner of Dave’s Pub, who first announced the arrival of the new concept on May 28. According to Williams, the goal is to provide budget-friendly dining options, noting that the restaurant's pricing was created with the current economic climate in mind.

Menu and Expectations

Karma’s Kitchen plans to operate around the clock, seven days a week, offering a robust menu that spans breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers can expect a variety of comfort foods, including burgers, patty melts, nachos, quesadillas, and chicken fingers.

For those looking for a midday meal, the kitchen will serve traditional meat-and-two lunch plates daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Notably, the establishment will not sell alcohol.

While the July 31 grand opening date is locked in, 205focus.com will keep readers updated as the owners announce the specific start time for the event next week.
