Alabama’s high-stakes U.S. Senate race is heating up as candidates prepare for a critical runoff this June. While Republican U.S. Rep. Barry Moore secured the lead in the initial primary results, a fresh poll suggests the momentum may be shifting toward his opponent, Jared Hudson.
New Poll Data Shifts the Narrative
A new survey conducted by Remington Research Group indicates positive traction for Hudson, particularly among Republican voters identifying as moderate. This polling data was commissioned by the Alabama Conservatives PAC, a group aligned with the former Navy SEAL’s campaign. To date, the PAC has invested over $1 million this year to bolster Hudson’s bid for the Senate.
The Road to the Runoff
Despite the recent polling figures favoring Hudson, the race remains intense. Moore continues to benefit from the high-profile endorsement of President Donald Trump, who reaffirmed his support for the Congressman just prior to the primary. As the campaign trail narrows, a significant factor for both camps remains the mobilization of voters who originally supported candidates like Steve Marshall.
Voters will head to the polls for the runoff on June 16. The eventual victor will go on to face the winner of the Democratic runoff in the general election this November.
