Popular Birmingham restaurant closing dining room for the summer

A staple of the Birmingham dining scene is pressing pause for the season. Carrigan’s Public House has officially closed its dining room for the remainder of the summer.

According to a recorded message on the restaurant's phone line, the popular spot is hitting the brakes until the fall. An official update posted to the restaurant’s website confirms that doors are set to reopen on Labor Day.

New Location, Summer Break

For those looking to host private events during the closure, the business is directing inquiries to be made through its website. While 205focus.com reached out for further comment, the restaurant was not immediately available to provide additional details.

Carrigan’s has been a fixture of the downtown landscape since its 2013 debut on Morris Avenue. The business moved last year to its current home at 1913 3rd Avenue N., located within The William. This redeveloped 1905 building was once a furniture store and now houses 27 residential apartments, paying tribute to both its history as a department store and owner David Carrigan’s father.
